My third favorite PJ Album.

I always get stuck rating PJ albums against each other....but I agree with DH79273 Breakerfall is a stunning rocking opener..truly amazing..the best opening after 'Go' in for mine. Insignificance for me is also a brilliant rocker..don't get me wrong I love PJ's slower stuff also (of course Black, Daughter, Betterman), but the up tempo rockers are what hooked my on Pearl Jam from day 1 and Insignificance is out there....amazing live in concert to...they way the stretch it out...

Binaural is great Slight of hand could be considered one of the best "hidden gems" of pearl jam's catalog of wide varity of sound i once heard an interview of a lead singer (who,s band is no longer around and niether is he for all i knoiw" but it said if you want to rock and get laid listen to us if you want to learn about stars and national geographic listen to pearl jam well give me the stars

Getting laid doesn't compare to the beautiful soundtrack that Pearl Jam provides on a good hike, camping trip, or road trip.

As a avid nature and outdoor appreciator, and landscape photographer buff....Pearl Jam is my best partner in crime.

i love this record so much, it is easily my favorite from the band.

it was the summer before my junior year of high school, i had just ended my first relationship, got my first job, and felt great about quitting summer basketball. i remember thinking, "finally, a summer for me..."

the record came out in may, i remember driving to best buy and getting the cassette and cd after the last day of school.

i was shocked at first listen. "yield" was so pretty, hopeful, and inspired sounding. so, hearing how dark "binaural" was really got me interested in where their heads were at.

the production on it has been discussed quite a bit, but personally, i think if it wasn't produced the way it was, some of the mood and tone of the songs would have been lost.

"sleight of hand" was the first song i really fell in love with. it was a new sound from them, more experimental, and i loved how eerie it sounded. that bridge, or middle section, still is my favorite thing to listen to on the album. beautiful guitar work from mike and stone!

i think the artwork for the record was dead on, that picture of the nebula, and the cover picture really brought out the mood of the album. i loved it then, and it's still my favorite artwork from all the records.

i was excited to hear cameron too, i wasn't the biggest fan of irons, and with me being a HUGE fan of the mighty soundgarden, i already new this man's prowess, potential, and ability.

for how dark of a record it is, everytime i listen to it i am reminded of how good of a time and summer that was for me.

i love you, my "binaural". :-)

"Sleight Of Hand" is a Jeff song.....what can I say...i think all my favorite PJ songs are Jeff songs.

Light Years is most beuatiful song!!!

I don't know, it opens pretty strongly with Breakerfall. I mean Insignificance & Grievance are two of my favorite PJ songs of all time, but I really think Breakerfall was the best choice for track 1. It just cranks you up and gets you ready to ride.

One of those rare albums where the 2nd half of the album out does the first half, from insignificance onwards this is pearl jam on fire - Insignificance, grievance, sleight of hand, soon forget - classics!

Sleight Of Hand.

Nothing else needs to be said. This album is SOLID!

Could be their greatest album. A nice warm mix that makes the album feel coherent. And really good songs. This is the Pearl Jam I love. And the B-sides are also stellar.

Drifting awayyyyyyyy....Drifting awwaaaayyyyyy. Love the way Eddie sings that on Parting Ways.

Thank you so much for posting that. It reminded me of how great that song is. I listen over and over again.... it may be the most beautiful Pearl Jam song ever... Eddie's voice in that song... it's just perfect!!!!!!!!
