I was in 7th grade, and Pearl Jam was my favorite band. I remember the opening one-two punch of "Hail, Hail" and "Animal," my favorite two songs at the time. The directness and efficiency with which the band tore into those two songs overcame me and had me begging for more - anything else Pearl Jam. I think that's when I learned that there's a huge difference between studio cuts and live performances. This concert awakened a part of me that I had never before tapped into. I've never been the same since.
