Might be my early favorite song. Ed (if in fact he wrote it, which it sounds like his) was getting philosophical on this one, which I love.
this was written by him the night before his solo show at the NJPAC in Newark NJ... He told us right before he played it... absolutely my favorite

ed wrote this at 5am, drunk, right before his solo show a the NJ performing ats center, which he then played its first live performance, which was incredible. so glad i got to witness that.

This album is so mature, it...it's exactly where I wanted Pearl Jam to go without really putting the thought to words. And this song approaches that desire probably the most (close with speed of sound).

Hands down the best song on this album! It's the Eddie of old.. with that ache in his voice! Phenomenal!
