chadz69..... NUTS????? I was right down the front and the crowd was very sombre from where i was standing. I had no bruises or even a saw spot to speak of. No one landed on my head. The minute people started jumping around the security kicked them out. The minute any one even touched another person someone got offended. Pearl Jam are awesome and nothing tops seeing them live but the word NUTS should be reserved for such occasions as PJ at Memorial Drive in 95 or Rage Against the Machine at the Wayville Showground 2 years ago. Concert was brilliant no doubt about that.... things have just changed in the crowds a little since the moshing days of the 90's.

I have to admit it was pretty quiet - wouldn't say sombre, but a great way for a fan to appreciate the show. I had the guy who Ed described as an Asshole behind me, then he busted his way through to the front, he copped the servce from Ed on stage, then stood there with his arms crossed for the rest of the night - was kinda funny, but also annoying 'cos he was about 6ft tall. It was a great show and I am so happy it was outdoors. Pity they had to finish up so early, would have been good if they kicked on like in Melbourne.

I can't believe there are actually comments about how the Adelaide crowd was too quiet! Where were you people sitting, up the back of the stands? We had a hell of a time at the front, and the bootleg will remind you, Ed actually had to stop between songs and settle the crowd down! Quote "We don't wanna have to play SLOW songs all night" right before, I think, Got Some, and four or five people were dragged out of there because it got too heavy.

And he constantly asked if everyone down the front was Ok because it got pretty nuts in there!

Maybe those back in the stands need to get more into the mood, maybe sing a little bit, hell dance if you want to. Down the front, no-one noticed anything but a heaving, sweating mass of jumping totally exhilarated bodies enjoying the best band in the world... and one of the best setlists I have ever had the joy to be a part of, I have to add!

I'm still grinning from ear to ear...and telling anyone who'll listen tales of yet another AWESOME gig!

Just wish the Adelaide City Council would relax so-called 'noise pollution' restrictions on live outdoor performances...

I was buzzing for days after the Adelaide show, what a setlist too, you could almost say the perfect mix of songs from all the eras. Typical Adelaide crowd, quite sedate really considering what it was we were witnessing (the greatest band in the world...ever). But the outdoor venue kicked A$$, so much better than the entertainment centre and the sound was awesome.....cant wait for the bootlegs!!!! WOO HOO!!!

PEARL JAM....ALWAYS WELCOME IN ADELAIDE!!!!!

Epic performance. Most enjoyable PJ show I've experienced with the exception of one fine evening that I enjoyed from the middle of row A.

Their sound had more balls than on previous tours. Stone and Mike had hiwat & marshall heads with marshall quadies supplemented by vox combos. They'd played with the more understated fender twin combos on previous aussie tours.

The crowd was the only disappointing factor. Seemed as if they'd all taken a large dose of sedatives. Hardly even a cheer when the gents took to the stage.

Very happy with the setlist. Eddie said it was the first time they've played Rearview Mirror since 1998. Something special!! Love you boys!

I've seen Pearl Jam perform Rearviewmirror 17 times since 1998 and they've actually played it over 120 times since then.

Maybe he meant that they hadn't played it in Adelaide since '98

Yes, that would make sense

That's pretty funny though.

Wish I was there. Release, Brain of J, No way, Lukin next to Blood (how did he do it!), and Smile. Just great. You guys in Adelaide are real lucky. My best regards to all of you.

I knew Ben Harper could play but his solo in Red Mosquito was god like .Eddie tore strips of some d*&k against the barrier for roughing up two smaller ladies with his elbows.Quote"i've got my eye on you a#$hole"
